Home to School
VISION:

Children throughout North Union Local School District will enjoy safe and nurturing home environments and be supported by parents, siblings, schools, and the community of Richwood in their growth and development.

MISSION:

In support of this vision, the Home To School Liaison will work with families identified as "at-risk" or "in-crisis" in a proactive manner to educate and reinforce parenting skills, prevent physical and emotional abuse and neglect of children, coordinate with key system personnel to insure the safety and growth of these children, and make timely and appropriate referrals of family members to a network of social and community service agencies and resources through Union County and the Community Services Association.

PROGRAM:

The vision of the North Union School District is to partner with our parents, schools, and community in order to provide resources and services that promote student learning. To complete this vision we have created the position of Home to School Liaison for the families of students in North Union School District. We are doing our best to work with the families and the community for the future of our students. Together with parents, the Home To School Liaison, Barb Greetham, will assist with parenting skills by providing parent education material. She will also assist in finding solutions to school concerns, find community resources, and faciliate the collaboration of social programs in the community to provide services to the family. The North Union School District knows that children who have regular attendance, have their needs met, feel safe, and have support from home are better achievers in school and become productive citizens.
