Historical Markers Research Project!

The 4th graders in Mrs. Schrader's Social Studies class study Ohio's history. To help illustrate that history is all around us, students were encouraged to take a photo of historical markers then locate them on a map. The Ohio Historical Markers identify, commemorate and honor the important people, places and events that have contributed to the state's rich history. The Ohio Historical Markers Program, administered by the Ohio Historical Society, is an educational tool, informing residents and visitors about significant aspects of Ohio's past. Currently there are over 1200 historical markers in the state. We have 19 in Union County.
