INDIANAPOLIS – A local FFA chapter will be returning home with some new hardware and plenty to smile about when the 85th National FFA Convention wrapped up.
The North Union Chapter was one of only 33 from the state of Ohio to earn a Three-Star rating during national chapter judging completed by FFA during the summer. There, judges evaluate a chapter’s Program of Activities (POA) that contains activities specified by three standing chapter committees which are to be accomplished during the course of a school year. Each of the 7,498 FFA chapters nationally is required to develop a POA specific to their needs and goals. In order to qualify for a state or national award, your chapter must complete at least 15 activities: one for each of the five quality standards in each of the three divisions.
