To: North Union Middle School parents – Class of 2024
Dear Parents,
We are writing to you today, in conjunction with North Union Middle School, to announce to you that the Class of 2024’s planned trip to Washington, DC originally scheduled for May of 2020, has been cancelled due to COVID-19.
This pandemic has affected about every walk of life over the past year, and we are sincerely sorry to have to mention yet another lost opportunity, this one for your daughters and sons who were to go on this trip to our nation’s capital. Simply put, the tour cannot move forward because of safety concerns.
With this, we want to inform you of the process of receiving refunds. We will be mailing refunds (all by company check) to the address on file when you registered your student for the trip. These refunds will go out the week of March 1.
Per the security refund policy in place that was agreed to upon registration of your student, we will issue a 90% refund of the total trip price of $590. So, anything that you have paid over $59 will be refunded to you. The portion that we have to retain covers the many expenses we’ve incurred over the past year as we planned and looked to implement the tour and, again, was agreed to at registration.
