The North Union Food Service department will be providing Summer meals June 14th through August 13th. Starting June 14th through July 2 we will be providing breakfast and lunch to the students who are attending Summer School. Breakfast will be handed out as the students enter the building and a packed lunch will be served before they go home. On Thursday they will receive an extra lunch and a breakfast to cover Friday meals. For the students that are not attending summer school we will be delivering a five day meal pack on Tuesday of each week. This meal pack will contain breakfast and lunch for 5 days. Children from the ages of 1-18 qualify for these free meals. Pick up locations are as follows: Richwood area will pick up in front of the Elementary, Magnetic Springs at the Town hall, Byhalia at the Washington Township building and Essex at the Central Office. Pick up times will be from 11:00am-12:00pm every Tuesday.

For the month of July we have contracted with a food delivery service called Innovation Foods. This will let our staff have a much needed break. This service will deliver a week’s worth of meals straight to the home of the student. This will include 7 entrees, 7 servings of vegetables, 7 fruit servings and milk. Also seven complete breakfast kits. The boxes are packed with refrigerant to ensure that your meals are delivered safely to your house. When the box is delivered to your house you will get a notification from FedEx that the box has been dropped at the house. There will be instructions in every box on how to handle the meals and proper heating instructions. If you have more than one student please fill out a form for each student. For a picture of what is offered go to the NU Food Service page on Facebook. You will need to sign up for this service. The link will be posted on the NU Food Service Facebook page. An email will also be sent out with the link to the form.
