It is my pleasure to serve as the principal of North Union High School. I am proud of our academic gains over the past two years and the creation of seven career pathways that will confidently launch students into the world of work and higher education upon graduation.
High school students are required to take seven end of course exams (AIR tests) to meet state graduation requirements. Our April 2018 test data shows that students improved on all seven tests! Teachers are continuing to enhance their instructional practices to ensure that students are well prepared for these tests and post secondary opportunities.
We are launching seven career pathways this year including: FFA Agribusiness & Production Systems, Business Administration, College Credit Plus, Construction Trades, Engineering, Interactive Media, and Pre-Nursing Studies. (Please see the high school website for specific career pathway information.) Every student is required to select one pathway to explore. Our goal is to expose students to in demand career fields and build their employability skills.
Our mission is to create graduates that are grounded in knowledge, equipped for the world of work, and capable of navigating the future!
If I can be of service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to another rewarding year!
