First Graders Learn About Writing Opinion Pieces

Students had to write which cookie was best, then give a solid reason.  They practiced on a graphic organizer and watched the teacher demonstrate on the interactive white board.  After the solid reason, they gave another example and then closed the writing with a summary sentence. The class will continue practicing opinion writing more in the weeks to come.
