Graduating seniors have the option to purchase their school-issued Chromebook

Deadline: Must be paid by May 16, 2025
Eligibility: All outstanding technology fees must be cleared before purchasing. If a student’s Chromebook is damaged, they will be charged for replacement parts upon turn in or they can purchase the device. Seniors may not purchase additional Chromebooks or devices assigned to other students.
Payment: Checks should be made out to North Union Local Schools. Please give your check to the office secretary, and you will be provided with a receipt.
Graduation Requirement: You must either turn in your Chromebook or purchase it to be eligible to walk at graduation.
Content Transfer: After graduation, students will have until July 1, 2025 to transfer their content (Google Drive files) from their school account to a personal account. Instructions for Google Takeout are available at Google Takeout Transfer.
District Network Removal: Chromebooks purchased by students will be removed from the district network and security protocols on May 30, 2025.
Internet Filtering: District Internet filtering will no longer be applied once the device is removed from the district network.
Reset Instructions: Please follow these instructions to reset your Chromebook after May 30, 2025:
Sign out of your Chromebook
Press and hold the Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R keys simultaneously
In the box that appears, select Restart
After it turns back on, select Powerwash and then Continue
Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your personal Google account.
