The North Union Elementary hosted the robotics competition on Dec. 10, 2015. Three NUE tams qualified for the finals and made it to the top 10 teams out of 32 teams. The first team consist of Elle Keever, Corbin Gaston, and Hunter Barker - placed 3rd. The Second team consisted of Morgan Evans , Blake Taylor, and Tyler White- placed 4th. The third team consisted of Kaylee Brestle, Zaiden Wilson, and Austin Southward - placed 5th.

Junie B's Essential Survival Guide to School
 North Union Elementary students PreK- First grade visited the Palace Theater in Marion, Ohio on Feb. 8, 2016.  
One Hundred Days of School
Mrs. Willey's first grade class celebrated 100 days of school with a celebration. The class began with eating 100 pieces of their favorite cereal. They also  saw how many times they could write their name in 100 seconds and some even dressed like they were 100 years young. 
Dome Theater Visits NUES
 North Union Elementary students in grades 2-5 were treated to a visit from the Dome Theater.  The theater offered various science lessons for all groups. The Dome Theater was brought to NUES through donations from the P.T.O. and our school.
Right To Read Week
 NUE's Right to Read Week was held December 7-11. The theme this year was "Reading is Delicious". During the week students were encouaged to read independently. Classroom doors were decorated with recipes, resturants, or something related to food. 
North Union Elementary "CAN" Make A Difference
North Union Elementary students and staff began collecting cans on Nov. 30 for REAP. The students entered into a competition of boys with Mrs. Allison as their sponsor vs. girls with Mrs. Hoffman as their sponsor.  The losers' sponsor will have to be an elf on the shelf at the school assembly on Friday, Dec. 18. 
Testing Feast For Third Graders
Third graders were treated to a testing feast on Monday, November 30. They were entertained by a jugler, Abby Davis and gymnasist, Walter Robinson. The program concluded with Queen Hoffman ordering Knight Allison to slay the testing dragon. 
November Project Pride Assembly
November 24 the North Union Elementary Project Pride Committee honored students and volunteers for their commitment to making North Union a great place. 
Fifth Grade Planet Projects
Mrs. Edgar and her science classes recently created models of the planets in their fifth grade science class. 
Third Graders Receive Dictionaries
North Union Elementary Third Graders received a dictionary of their very own. The dictionaries were donated by the Elks Lodge #1130 of Marysville. This is a part of the Elks outreach program for Union County. 
Wee Cats 2015
The North Union Elementary hosted the Wee Cats Night. Wee Cats is a program which introduces future students who are three and four years of age to the school and helps families build a better foundation for Kindergarten.  The Wee Cats Program offers social interaction, activities, food, and academics.
