Third Graders Receive Dictionaries
North Union Elementary Third Graders received a dictionary of their very own. The dictionaries were donated by the Elks Lodge #1130 of Marysville. This is a part of the Elks outreach program for Union County. 
Wee Cats 2015
The North Union Elementary hosted the Wee Cats Night. Wee Cats is a program which introduces future students who are three and four years of age to the school and helps families build a better foundation for Kindergarten.  The Wee Cats Program offers social interaction, activities, food, and academics. 
2015 Veterans Day Assembly
North Union Elementary honored Veterans on Wednesday, November 11, with an assembly. The assembly was attended by Veterans and their families. All branches of the military were represented. The 2015 guest speaker was Mrs. Lane McKevley, aunt of Madelyn Taylor, North Union Elementary student. 
Officer Phil
Office Phil made his visit to North Union Elementary on Oct. 20. The purpose of the presentation is to make children aware of the dangers that strangers can potentially have. 
North Union Elementary Latchkey Program
The Union County Family YMCA is offering North Union Elementary students the opportunity to enroll in the Latchkey Program. The program will be offered 5 days a week. It will be held at the elementary school. 
Fire Prevention Week
 The Northern Union Fire and Emergency Medical Service District spent two days presenting fire safety to the preschool through third grades. Every student was presented with a pink or black fireman's hat. 
Project Pride Assembly, Fire Prevention Week and Student Council
The 2015-16 school year is off to a great start. The fifth grade class conducted an election. The candidates were given the opportunity to stand before their class and discuss the changes they would like to see if elected to student council.  
Safe Routes To School
Students joined forces with the other Union County Agencies and participated in a walk to school on Sept. 29, 2015. 
Donuts with Dad
 Third and fifth graders and families were treated to a special breakfast on Sept. 24.   
Calling All Destination Imagination Students
Destination Imagination (DI) has a mission which is to develop opportunities that inspire the global community of learners to utilize diverse approaches in applying 21st century skills and creativity.
